Terms of Service
Last updated: October 5, 2026
Lumero is operated by Lumero Technologies LLC, a Delaware limited liability company (“Lumero”, “we”, “us”, “our”). These Terms apply when you request a free preview, place an order, or otherwise use lumeroapp.com.
1. What we do
We create short personal films from photographs and story details that you provide. The formats we offer, their lengths and their current prices are described on our website.
Our films are produced using a combination of human direction and AI-assisted animation. We do not present them as live-action footage.
2. Free preview
We offer a free preview — a short scene from your film — before any payment. To produce it we need photographs and a few details about the people in the film. The preview is sent to the email address you give us, normally within 48 hours of your photographs arriving.
The free preview is offered at our discretion, one per customer, and puts neither of us under any obligation to continue.
3. Your materials
You keep ownership of every photograph, recording and piece of text you send us.
By sending us materials, you confirm that:
you have the right to share them with us and to let us use them to make your film;
every identifiable person in them has agreed to appear, or you are their parent or legal guardian;
the materials do not infringe anyone else’s rights.
You grant us a licence to store and process your materials for the purpose of producing, revising and delivering your film, and to keep them for a reasonable period afterwards in case you ask for changes.
We do not sell your materials. We never publish your original photographs, your names or the story you wrote us as separate content.
4. Orders, pricing and payment
Prices shown on our website are in US dollars and are fixed at the moment of purchase. Payments are processed by Stripe, acting as Merchant of Record.
Production starts once payment is confirmed and we have received your photographs.
5. Delivery
Delivery times are shown with each format on our website and currently range from three to five days. That period begins when we have everything we need from you — your photographs and your approval of the script — not at the moment of payment.
If you need the film by a fixed date, tell us before you order. We will say honestly whether we can meet it.
6. Revisions
Each format includes the number of revision rounds shown on our website. A revision means adjusting the film we made: a scene, the music, the pacing or the text. Rebuilding the film around a different concept is a new order.
7. The finished film
Once your order is paid in full, you may use your finished film for personal, non-commercial purposes: watching it, showing it, sharing it privately or publicly, and keeping a copy for as long as you like.
We retain copyright in the film and in the animation we created. You may not resell it, license it to others, or use it to advertise a product or service without our written permission.
8. Showing your film as an example
We may show your finished film as an example of our work — on our website, in our social media accounts and in our advertising — only if you gave us permission.
Permission is given by ticking the optional box on our form. Ticking it is never a condition of receiving your preview or your film, and declining changes nothing about the service you get.
If you gave permission:
we may show the finished film, in full or in part;
we never publish your original photographs, your full name, your email address, or the story text you sent us as separate content;
the permission lasts until you withdraw it;
no payment is owed to you, and none is owed to us.
You can withdraw permission at any time by emailing founders@lumeroapp.com. We will remove the film from our website and from our own social media accounts within a reasonable time, normally five business days. Copies that other people have already saved or reshared are outside our control and we cannot recall them.
If you did not tick the box, we will not publish your film anywhere.
9. What we will not make
We will not produce films that are defamatory, that sexualise anyone, that portray a person in a way they have not agreed to, that promote hatred or violence, or that are intended to deceive. If we find that an order falls into any of these categories, we will cancel it and refund it in full.
10. Refunds
Refunds are described on our Refund Policy page, which forms part of these Terms.
11. Privacy
How we handle your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.
12. Liability
We provide our services with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, our total liability to you for any claim arising from your order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
13. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published on this page at the time you ordered, and the date at the top shows when it last changed.
